When Terri asked me to do a top ten post, she suggested romance movies, but I didn’t know where to start because I like so many—how do I choose just ten?
I decided to share my top ten romance novels. I’m not going to number them because they are in no particular order. I also put a fun spin on this post by writing my own verse to ‘These Are a Few of My Favorite Things’.
Captivating characters and intense scenes,
Breathtaking settings and heroes in jeans.
Enticing plots and unexpected hooks,
Enticing plots and unexpected hooks,
These are ten of my favorite books.
The Crightons (a family series) by Penny Jordan – The first series I read and I was hooked after reading the first title.
Flirting with Forty by Jane Porter – A great storyline, beach setting, and the movie is equally enjoyable.
Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen – An utterly engaging page-turner.
Nearlyweds by Beth Kendrick –The dog on this cover sold me, and the story was thoroughly entertaining.
Anyone But You by Jennifer Crusie – Fun, flirty, and Fred the dog is irresistible.
A Little Light Magic by Joy Nash – Riveting and magical.
The Outlaw Bride by Kelly Boyce – The first western I read, which hooked me on cowboys. An enticing, romantic, can’t-put-it-down read.
A Wedding at Leopard Tree Lodge by Liz Fielding – A magnificent setting, a feisty heroine, and a sexy hero…who could ask for anything more.
Sold to the Highest Bidder by Donna Alward – Fun and flirty.
Shot Through the Heart by D’Ann Lindun – non-stop action, page-turner.
The books I listed by Penny Jordan, Jane Porter, Sarah Addison Allen, and Beth Kendrick are only one of my favorites by these authors. I’ve read almost all of their books. They are a must read on my list.
BUT wait, there’s one book I forgot to add to the top of my list!
One Sweet Christmas is a must read for anyone who loves Christmas and chocolate. I hope my sweet and delicious novella is on your top ten reading list.
Here’s a snippet to entice you!
It’s going to take more than a few pieces of chocolate to fill this Scrooge’s heart with Christmas cheer. Luckily Candice Cane has a whole shop full...
Candice Cane is not proud of the way she acted after her last encounter with Jackson Frost. Sure revenge was fun, but it’s left Jackson standing, angry and looking for answers, on the welcome mat in her chocolate shop. Now he’s after some revenge of his own.
Jackson returned to his small hometown for one reason and one reason only...so he’s not sure how he’s ended up in a Santa suit in the middle of a chocolate shop, at the behest of its beautiful owner, instead of high-tailing it back to the city as fast as he can.
